KGNC celebrates Black History Month;
Linda Brown (1943- 2018) was the schoolgirl at the center of Brown versus the Board Of Education.
Her father, Oliver. Initiated the case when an all-white elementary school just a few blocks away from her house denied Linda entry.
In 1954, The U.S. Supreme Court ruled unanimously that racial segregation was unconstitutional.
The ruling was to become the cornerstone of the Civil Rights movement.
