Arrest Made After Amarillo Boulevard Shooting

A gaming establishment in the 29-hundred block of Amarillo Boulevard East was the scene of a shooting Tuesday afternoon.

Amarillo Police found a 48-year-old man at the location with multiple gunshot wounds

He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and witnesses described the shooter as a black man who had been at the gambling parlor before the victim arrived.

At the time of the shooting, witnesses say the suspect was with a white woman, and after shooting the victim, he pointed the gun at another female before leaving.

Thirty-eight-year-old, John Arnold Ramzey was tracked down to an apartment in the 26-hundred block of North Grand Street and arrested on two counts of Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
