Amarillo Area Foundation Grants
The Amarillo Area Foundation will give out a total of 1 point 1 million in grants to local organizations. A breakdown of the grant donations is from the first Discretionary Grant Cycle of 2023.
The grant money will go to organizations like the Summer Teacher Externship program, getting 25 thousand dollars, the City of Friona getting one-hundred-fourteen thousand for the creation of daycare services, and 500-hundred thousand dollars to Kids Inc. for phase one of the Rockrose Sports Park Outdoor Complex.
Other programs getting money include Faith City Mission, Food Asset and insecurity programs mapping project, and Workforce Education programs.
The Amarillo Area Foundation says these organizations have worked hard and have shown meaningful work in the community, improving the quality of life for Panhandle residents
