Zack Martin Injury Not As Serious As First Thought

(Dallas, TX) — The Cowboys are optimistic starting offensive guard Zack Martin will be ready for the season opener. Martin injured his left knee in a preseason 21-13 loss Saturday against the Bengals. A MRI the next day revealed no ligament damage, but a bone bruise and hyperextended knee. The Cowboys do not know the extent of the hamstring injury to starting free safety Xavier Woods.
