YouTube Extends Trump Suspension Indefinitely, Puts New Restriction On Giuliani

YouTube has extended its suspension of former President Donald Trump’s channel indefinitely.

The company initially blocked him on January 12 amid fears of additional violence after the insurrection at the Capitol. YouTube spokesperson Ivy Choi said, “In light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, the Donald J. Trump channel will remain suspended. Our teams are staying vigilant and closely monitoring for any new developments.”

YouTube also announced it will temporarily restrict Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani from making money from his videos because of “repeated violations related to false claims about widespread voter fraud.”
