Xcel Offering Easier Way for Residents to Find LEDs

Xcel Energy has launched a new website to help residents with discounts on energy-efficient LED lightbulbs.

Customers can visit their new Bulb Finder site and enter their ZIP code to find nearby stores that offer LED bulbs as low as 8 cents in New Mexico and 16 cents in Texas.

LEDs are the standard nationwide since it is illegal to manufacture and sell most incandescent and halogen light bulbs, and can save residents roughly $55 over their 13-year lifetime.

Customers will also be able to use an LED bulb guide to help determine what size, shape, and color of the bulb is best for them.
