WTAMU Students Getting Financial Help

Students at West Texas A&M University will be getting federal grant money from the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund.

The money will help students recover from unemployment or other economic hardships brought on by the Covid-19 outbreak.

The total amount to the school will be more than 5-Million dollars.

WTAMU”s President Walter Wendler says 5 point 7 million dollars or half of the funding  will go directly to the students, while the other half will be invested for student use in the future.

The federal funding is part of a 112 million dollars given to the A&M system.
