WTAMU Meat Judging Team Wins Australian International

The West Texas A&M University meat judging team competed this past week at the  International Meat Judging Contest in Australia and was crowned Overall Grand Champion!

WTAMU Meat Judging Team consisted of Caleb Baker, Carter Mortensen, Shannon Anderson, and Jacob McMillian with Coaches Dr. Loni Lucherk and Kara Belt. Other team members and coaches included: Ambri Harrigal, Jenna Mayer, Jeffrey Morphis, and Tessa Barrett.

The team was overall champions in Placing classes as well as Pork Judging. They were Reserve Champions in Lamb and Beef judging and Retail Classes.

Cole Petit was recognized as being the High Overall Individual Runner Up.
