WTAMU Hosting Virtual Graduation

West Texas A&M University will hold December 2020 graduation on-line.

University President Dr. Walter Wendler says while it was a hard decision to make the school could not in good conscious host an in-person ceremony, with Covid 19 cases skyrocketing.

The decision comes after discussions with University administrator, community leaders and health experts.

Dr. Wendler says the school has tentative plans for small scale ceremonies for the 2020 and 2021 graduates on multiple Fridays in March, April and May.

Students graduating in December may choose to attend the spring 2021 commencement exercises.
