WT Students Working Hard to Prepare For The Fall

Three Students are hard at work this summer at West Texas A&M University to ensure their classmates will return in the fall with success in mind.

They are the leadership team for the Student Government Association, elected before the spring semester ended in a campus-wide election.

Annie Valicek, junior agribusiness and economics major was selected as president, Jake Cannon, a senior animal science major, is serving as vice president, and Tucker Gattis, a senior agriculture major, was appointed chief justice.

During the school year, they will lead Student government and have their tasks, and their summer adds responsibilities toward recruiting freshmen at New Student Orientations, coordinating with faculty, and brainstorming the year ahead, including homecoming activities.

Their biggest thoughts going toward the year involve keeping an academically challenging university, as well as making ready opportunities for fun and community development.
