WT Reorganizing Cheerleading and Spirit Activities

West Texas A&M  University announced adjustments to the current way they hold cheerleading and spirit activities on campus. 

The university is devoted to expand participation of students, faculty, staff,  alumni, and friends in university and athletic events.

They say these changes are to help expand opportunities for students with various skills to increase participation.

They additionally state there could be misunderstanding from the March 9 memorandum, and that cheer and dance are not being removed.

A meeting on March 29 will be held with the cheer and dance teams and other spirit groups.
