WT Receives Generous Donation to Start Scholarship Fund

West Texas A&M University has announced a donation of $1.5 million dollars to establish a scholarship fund for students hoping to attend the school.
The gift comes from a retired petroleum engineer in Pampa who wished to full his late wife’s dream of starting a scholarship fund.
The family reportedly has no connection to the school and was simply moved by the work that the university does, and had a passion to help students in their hometowns.
The school will host an announcement for the generous donation at 10 am on February 2nd at Pampa High School, located at 111 East Harvest Avenue.
