WT Homecoming Celebrating Through The Decades

West Texas A&M University is ready for homecoming to start on October 1st, with plenty of festivities before the big day for students and alumni to enjoy. 

 

The Phoenix Celebration will honor 4 distinguished alumni with dinner, a program, desserts, and jazz. 

It will be held at the legacy hall on WT Campus from 6 to 9 pm on the 29th, and costs $75 per ticket, and tables start at $500.

 

The Homecoming Scholarship Golf Classic will be on the 30th of September, with food, fun, and fellowship at the Palo Duro Creek Golf Course.

It starts with lunch at 11:30 and tee-off is shortly after at 12:30, and all proceeds go toward scholarship funds. 

Entries are still being accepted, with $125 for individuals or $500 for a team of four.

The Celebration of Color will honor 4 WT alum and two businesses in Amarillo at 6 pm on the 30th. 

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at WTAMU.edu/diversity or by calling 806-651-8482.

 

The “Don’t Bring Me Down” concert starts at 7:30 pm on the 30th.

Taking place in Mary Moody Recital Hall, the WT Symphony joins with Flashback! to bring back music by Electric Light Orchestra and more 70’s hits. General admission is $10 and all proceeds benefit the symphony.
