WT Equestrians Rank High At North Carolina Event

Congratulations Marty Kacsh. The WT student and equestrian won a national championship in horsemanship at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship in Tryon, NC.

The event was held May 3 to 5.

Kacsh is a senior animal science/pre-vet major at West Texas A&M University.

Receiving reserve national champion Level 2 honors was senior Haley Bucher.

Kacsh and Bucher were joined by other Buffs teammates who also ranked high in the equestrian event, including freshman Amber Cox, senior Anna Wilhelm, junior Hana Craycraft, and junior Helene Keiser.

WT’s equestrian teams are an example of the University’s responsiveness to the Texas Panhandle, as outlined in the University’s long-range plan, WT 125: From the Panhandle to the World.
