The Black Student Union is hosting three events along with WT’s Office for Diversity and Inclusion, Hispanic Student Association, and Residence Hall Association.

On the 17th, starting at 6 pm there is an open mic night in the Legends Club in the Jack B Kelley Student Center where students will have 3 to 5 minutes to perform.

The 2019 film “Just Mercy,” will be shown at 6:30 pm in the Alumni Banquet Hall on the 23rd.

The film stars Michael B. Jordan working as a defense attorney fighting against the death penalty.

Following that on the 24th, four prominent Black Amarillo residents will speak in Legacy Hall at 6 pm at the “Homegrown Excellence” event.
