West Texas A&M University’s Bateman Team received a national distinction for their most recent public relations project.
The group earned an honorable mention from the Public Relation Student Society of America for their month-long campaign educating young people in the Canyon/Amarillo area about lymphoma.
The four-person crew included sophomore Kiley Duggan, juniors Karree Belmares and Lindsay Sawin, and senior Hannah Valencia.
They were one of the 11 teams honored out of a total of 51 participants, and this year marks the second time since 2019 they have received an honorable mention.
