WT Aiding in Perryton Recovery Effort

In the aftermath of the deadly tornado that struck Perryton, West Texas A&M University is reaching out to offer its support.

The school says 61 students in the spring, summer, and fall 2023 semesters call Perryton home and that in the coming days and weeks, they will be reaching out via email and text.

3 people were killed and another 56 were injured after a tornado tore through Perryton on the evening of June 15th, and shelter areas have been set up at the Ochiltree County Expo Center, Perryton High School, and Community Worship Center.
