WT Ag Student Ag is Important in “Everyone’s Everyday Life”

Grace Small is one of the many talented students attending West Texas A&M University’s Agricultural Sciences Department and is working on a degree plan that a lot of folks don’t know exists: Agricultural Media Communication.

Universities across the country have been adding agricultural degree plans that emphasize the importance of communicating/marketing within the agriculture industry. Small says she decided to attend WT and major in ag communication because, “I love people, I love talking to people, I love being around people, and I love the agriculture industry.” She says the normal everyday person is becoming more and more removed from the farm, “[agriculture] it’s so important to everyone’s everyday life, and so many people don’t realize that. Which is another reason why I’m so excited to be an Ag Comm major, because I’m going to one day have an opportunity to be able to bring that to people who maybe don’t realize what an impact it has on their life.”
