Woman Hit By Car Identified-Borger

A woman has been identified as a victim after a car hit her Wednesday morning on Highway 136.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says 28-year-old Sindia Torres was struck after walking in the road, in the dark, by a Chevy pick-up just north of Borger.

DPS officials say she was crossing the northbound lanes into the southbound lanes right in the truck’s path.

They report the driver did not see Torres, and struck her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

DPS is investigating the crash
