Wing Stop Restaurant Attack

All This for a chicken wing?

Amarillo police say they’ve arrested a woman after she attacked a restaurant manager at the Wing Stop at Southwest 45th.

Police were called out to the incident at 4:30, on Sunday. about the fight at the store, and were later told 33-year-old Whitney Paige Moffett was also fighting with a Randall County Deputy.

Officials say they learned that Moffett worked as a driver for DoorDash and became upset when her order was not ready. when she arrived.  That’s when she entered the kitchen and when asked to leave, the fight was on, attacking the manager. 

The manager is said to have attempted to escort the woman out, and she continued to attack him.

That’s when the off-duty officer seeing the fight intervened.

Moffett was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail on assault and resisting arrest charges.

The case is being investigated by the Amarillo Police Violent Crimes Unit.
