William Ware of Amarillo National Bank Receives Honor

William Ware, President of Amarillo National Bank has been named a recipient of the prestigious Emerging Leader Award by the Texas Bankers Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Texas Bankers Association.

Ware was among 10 men and woman across the state who were nominated for this award.

The nomination announcement praised Ware for his recent service as chairman of the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce, president of Center City of Amarillo, president of Children’s Miracle Network of Amarillo and his 2014 role as co-chair of the United Way campaign of Amarillo and Canyon. He also recently served on the Texas Lyceum board and currently has a position on the Amarillo Area Foundation Board of Directors.

The Texas Bankers Association called attention to Ware’s tenure in leadership at ANB, during which the bank has initiated several new products and services, including developing a wellness program, improving products through innovative technology, revamping the banks marketing efforts, and enhancing community involvement. Earlier this year, Ware also assisted with the acquisition of Lubbock National Bank
