(Oakland, CA) —  The rock band Journey is firing two of its members after they launched an “ill-conceived corporate coup d’etat.” Band leaders Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain claim that bassist Ross Valory and drummer Steve Smith tried to gain control of Nightmare Productions, a band business entity that they thought held the rights to the group’s name. The band is seeking damages of more than ten-million-dollars. Schon is the only original member of the band after helping form it in 1973.
