18 years ago 9/11 began to unfold in front of us as if it were some grotesque hallucination without end. But it was real, and in some ways has never ended. Some good has evolved, and some bad. For me, personally, it is difficult to know what to do do with this day….how to feel. There’s still profound sadness and hurt over the events. There’s pride that our country began to get our collective legs under us and start coming together the next day. There’s anger that the first responders from 9/11 were not taken care of as promised. There relief that our nation’s intelligence and security has stopped another attack on the same scale. And there’s the strong belief that I must share the story year after year with people who are too young to remember what happened. (Not little children, of course….but teenagers through the age of 23 or 24)
So, how are you feeling this 9/11? Please let us know below, or feel free to call us between 6 and 9 a.m. at 806 350 0710. And, thank you for sharing!
Here are some of the comments we have received…..
Remembering and telling future generations about it.
