West Texas A&M Partners to Offer Graduate Music Degree to Students in Mexico

Thanks to a new partnership between the West Texas A&M University School of Music and a university in Mexico, qualified students will have a unique educational opportunity.

Beginning this fall, students at the University of Colima’s School of Music in Mexico can start working towards their master of music through WT.

The University of Colima says it does not, nor does it plan to offer a graduate degree in music, and the country as a whole only has five accredited programs.

WT school officials say the plan is to use a combination of exchange teaching and online course delivery in order to allow Colima students to remain in Mexico for the first year of the program.

Students will then come to Canyon to complete their second year.
