Rockets End Skid, Beat Timberwolves

(Houston, TX) — James Harden scored 37 points as the Rockets beat the Timberwolves 117-111 to snap a four-game skid. Russell Westbrook contributed 27 points and reserve Eric Gordon 16 to the victory. The Rockets are on the road tomorrow, facing the Lakers in LA.

Mavericks Lose, Host Nuggets Tonight

(San Antonio, TX) — Seven Spurs, led by LaMarcus Aldridge’s 28 points, scored in double figures to beat the Mavericks 119-109 at the Alamo City. Luka Doncic led Dallas with 38 points. Tim Hardaway Junior had 20 points in defeat, but picked up his fourth technical of the season. The Mavs will try to snap a two-game skid tonight against the Nuggets in Dallas.

Stars Lose Sixth Straight

Minor Sharp In Rangers’ Victory

(Glendale, AZ) — Mike Minor allowed two singles and struck out three over four shutout innings in the Rangers’ 9-2 rout of the White Sox in Glendale. Adolis Garcia homered and drove in three Texas runs. Yadiel Rivera went 3-for-3 with two RBI in the win, while Rob Refsnyder had two hits, scored three runs and drove in another. Luke Farrell will start for the Rangers today against the Giants in Surprise.

Astros Lose Pair In Spring Training

(Undated) — Josh James yielded three runs on four hits and three walks, while striking out four in less than four innings in an Astros’ split-squad 3-0 loss to the Braves. Cowboys To Play Steelers In Hall Of Fame Game

(Canton, OH) — Old rivals will meet in the NFL Hall of Fame Game. The Dallas Cowboys will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in the annual preseason opener August 6th in Canton, Ohio. Former Steelers safety Troy Polamalu and head coach Bill Cowher, and former Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson, will be inducted that weekend as part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2020.

Cowboys Awarded Compensatory Draft Pick

(Undated) — The NFL has awarded a fifth-round, 179th overall, compensatory 2020 draft pick to the Cowboys. That will give Dallas seven selections for the April draft. The only round the Cowboys do not have a pick is the sixth, trading that away last year for Robert Quinn, who led the team in sacks.

LeBron Would Listen If NBA Bans Fans

(Los Angeles, CA) — Lakers star LeBron James is changing his tune in regards to possibly playing in front of no fans due to the coronavirus. James previously said he wouldn’t play in an empty arena, but now says he will if that’s what the league mandates. The NBA and other pro leagues have began limiting locker room and clubhouse access for all nonessential personnel.

Ivy League Cancels Tournament, No Fans For MAC, Big West

(Undated) — The coronavirus continues to effect college basketball. The Ivy League is canceling its men’s and women’s tournaments. The Yale men and Princeton women will get automatic berths into the NCAA Tournament. The Big West Tournament will play in Anaheim without fans and the Mid-American Conference Tournament in Cleveland is also closed to the general public.
