Wednesday Sports Update – Red Sox Eliminate Yankees

(Bronx, NY) — The Red Sox are on their way to the American League Championship Series. They held off the Yankees 4-3 in Game Four of their AL Division Series in the Bronx. Craig Kimbrel gave up two runs in the ninth, but held on for the save as Boston won the best-of-five matchup 3-1. The Red Sox will play the defending champion Houston Astros in the ALCS.

Four MLB Teams Left

(Undated) — There are just four MLB teams left in the playoffs.. The Red Sox clash with the Astros in the ALCS starting Saturday in Boston. The Astros are trying to become the first repeat champion since the Yankees won three in a row from 1998 to 2000. The Dodgers will battle the Brewers in the National League Championship Series starting Friday in Milwaukee.

Cowboys Will Face Jaguars Next

(Frisco, TX) — The Cowboys will begin practice today for a Sunday matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars at AT&T Stadium. Dallas is 2-and-3 after falling to the Texans in overtime on Sunday night. The Cowboys are 2-and-0 at home. The Jags are 3-and-2 after losing 30-14 last Sunday at Kansas City. Cowboys Making Multiple Roster Moves

(Frisco, TX) — Multiple-outlets have reported the Cowboys will re-sign running back Darius Jackson. This would be Jackson’s fourth stint with the Dallas since drafting him in the sixth round in 2016. The Cowboys also signed safety Darian Thompson, who was on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad. The Cowboys released rookie running back Bo Scarbrough from their practice squad. He was a sixth-round pick out of Alabama.

Texans Host Bills Sunday

(Houston, TX) — The Texans look to build a win streak on Sunday as they host the Buffalo Bills. Houston sits at 2-and-3 and has won its past two games. In other team news, the Texans placed cornerback Kayvon Webster on injured reserve with a quad injury. They promoted safety Mike Tyson from the practice squad to take Webster’s spot.

Mavs Home On Friday

(Dallas, TX) — The Mavericks will wrap up their preseason schedule on Friday against Charlotte in Dallas. The Mavs split two games with the Sixers in China. Dallas will tipoff the regular season on October 17th against the Suns in Phoenix.

Rockets Cruise Past Sharks

(Houston, TX) — James Harden put up 37 points as the Rockets cruised past the Shanghai Sharks 128-86 in Houston last night. P.J. Tucker poured in 22 points as the Rockets improved to 3-and-1 in preseason play. Houston closes out the preseason on Friday at the Memphis Grizzlies.

Stars Fall to Maple Leafs
