Rays Blank Rangers Again

(Arlington, TX) — Blake Snell became the first 20-game winner in the majors this season in the Rays’ 4-0 shutout of the Rangers in Texas. Yovani Gallardo gave up three runs in five frames to take the loss for Texas. The Rangers have dropped three in-a-row, including two straight shutouts. Yohander Mendez starts today as the Rangers look to prevent the sweep.

Rangers Moving Triple-A Club To Nashville

(Arlington, TX) — The Texas Rangers are changing their Triple-A club. The Rangers have agreed to a four-year contract with the Nashville Sounds, who will replace the Round Rock Express. The Austin-based Express are expected to become the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.

Astros Blank Mariners

(Houston, TX) — Josh James and four relievers completed the six-hit shutout as the Astros blanked the Mariners 7-0 in Houston. James pitched into the sixth and struck out seven for his first big league win. Marwin Gonzalez launched a two-run homer to help key Houston’s offense. The ‘Stros moved to 95-and-56. Dallas Keuchel will start the rubber match tonight.

Cowboys Prep For Seahawks

Stars Upend Blues

Mavericks Begin Camp Friday

(Dallas, TX) — The Dallas Mavericks open training camp on Friday. The Mavs will play a pair of preseason games in China next month versus the 76ers. Westbrook And Wife Expecting Twins

(Oklahoma City, OK) — Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook’s family is about to grow by two. Westbrook and his wife announced yesterday they are expecting twin girls. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in May 2017. Westbrook averaged more than 25 points and 10 assists per game for the Thunder last season.
