Wednesday Sports Update – Rangers Rally Against A’s

(Arlington, TX) — Adrian Beltre hit a go-ahead, solo homer in the eighth inning and the Rangers went on to beat the Athletics 7-4 in Arlington. Shin-Soo Shoo pulled Texas even with a two-run shot in the seventh. Joey Gallo, Jurickson Profar and Robinson Chirinos also went deep in the win. Chris Martin got credit for the win and Keone Kela struck out the side in the ninth for his 14th save.

Yesterday, the Rangers chose nine more players, picking six pitchers and three infielders. They took high school right-hander Owen White with their first pick of the day.

Mariners Dump Astros

(Houston, TX) — Kyle Seager crushed a three-run homer to cap a four-run first inning for the Mariners in a 7-1 win over the Astros in Houston. Dallas Keuchel gave up all seven runs over six-and-two-third frames to fall to 3-and-8. Marwin Gonzalez had an RBI double for the ‘Stros, who are on a three-game slide.
