Weather Related Fire Amarillo

The Amarillo Fire Marshals Office is calling an early morning blaze in South Amarillo weather related.
The blaze at 2550 Farmers Avenue was called out to fire crews at 5;48 a.m. and once there they saw the flames.
They found a single-story building with fire coming from one of the apartments and called in a second alarm.
No one was inside the apartment when they made their way into the unit.
Adjacent apartment units were quickly evacuated, and the blaze was found primarily in the attic space. It was brought under control by 5:57 a.m.
