Weapons Taken Off City Streets

A juvenile is among several suspects accused of driving through a neighborhood pointing guns at people.

At 11:30 a.m. Monday, an Amarillo Police Department  Neighborhood Patrol Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Gardenia.

The suspects got out and ran, but one juvenile tried to hide in a home, where Police found him along with a gun.

Additional weapons and ammunition were found inside the suspects’ car.

This happened in the Eastridge area, not far from where a man was killed on Sunday night.
