Wall Street Opens Higher After Trump Signed COVID Relief Package

Wall Street is opening higher after President Trump unexpectedly signed the COVID relief package and government funding bill.

The news is boosting investor confidence heading into the final trading week of 2020. All three major stock indexes are up a half-percent or more after the opening bell.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is ahead nearly six percent for the year despite the pandemic.

The S&P 500 is up 14 percent while the tech-heavy Nasdaq is on pace for a whopping 40 percent annual gain.
