Two Local Small Businesses Receiving Year-End Awards

Two local businesses are recipients of annual awards presented by the Small Business Administration’s West Texas District earlier this week. 

Kim May from Nobox Creative, LLC was named 2022 West Texas Small Business Person of the Year for her continued work and dedication to the community as president of the full-service marketing and advertising agency. 

Along with that, the 2022 Exporter of the Year award goes to the hard work of Buffalo Technology Group Products including staff Benton Allen, Paige Dodge, Dr. Emily Hunt, and Trent Kelly. 

BTG, has worked with antimicrobial technology, first forming at West Texas A&M University with projects made for the U.S. Department of Defense. Since then, BTG Products have played a huge role in the fight against Covid-19 both within our country and Canada through different exporting deals. 

With this week being National Small Business Week, the efforts of these groups exceed far past recognition just for these few days, as the work of these individuals have helped not only our community, but the entire world.
