Two Indicted on Federal Drug Charges

Two Amarillo residents have been indicted by a federal court on drug possession charges.

Edith Garcia-Cardenas and Cody Wayne Sullivan have been indicted for one count of “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl” and one count of “possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.”

Amarillo police executed a search warrant at a home on South Forest Street after an accomplice of the two reportedly told officers there were more than 500 fentanyl pills in the residence.

Officers found more than 90 pills that tested positive for Fentanyl as well as other narcotics-related materials.

Garcia-Cardenas and Sullivan are expected to appear before Amarillo Federal Court on April 10th at 9 am for a jury trial.
