Two Amarillo Robberies Lead to Mans Arrest

Amarillo police have a man under arrest for two separate robberies, From Thursday night.

35-year-old Shane Ray Bursie was arrested at his home on North Kentucky Street.

The first robbery happened at the Dollar General store at 8:25 p.m. in South Georgia…

The suspect was wearing dark clothing and a blue bandana and pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money.

No injuries occurred, but during the investigation, police were called out to another robbery at the Sonic Drive through on South Western Avenue at 9:23 p.m.

The suspect matched the description from the Dollar General Store heist. He again pulled a gun on employees, demanded money, and fled the scene.

On searching his home police found evidence, linking him to both robberies.

He was arrested and booked into the Potter County Jail for Aggravated Robbery and Unlawful Possession of a firearm by a felon.
