Two Amarillo Businessmen Leading Charge To Redirect Pharmaceutical Manufacturing To The U.S and Amarillo.

Both Jerry Hodge and Alex Fairly are selected to co-chair the Task Force for America First Pharmaceutical Relocation Plan a critical effort to bring drug manufacturing back to the United States rather than the business going to China.

Fairley also says starting the new venture has a national security element to it. Fairly says more than 70 percent of the worlds drug ingredients are made outside the U.S. He stresses that if diplomatic relations between China and the U.S. go sour the price of drugs could go sky high.

Fairlly also goes on to say the area Colleges and Universities will have an integral part to play in helping to relocate a substantial amount of that drug production to Amarillo.

Fairly and Amarillo business man Jerry Hodge both agree that the U.S. national security is involved.

More than 70 percent of the worlds drug products are made in facilities outside America .

Hodge says the goal is to revitalize drug manufacturing in the U.S.
