he Turn Center has a new Executive Director succeeding Connie Wooton.

Wooton retired in December after serving as the center’s interim director since August of 2020.

Amy Lowell is the former director of philanthropic partnerships at the Amarillo Area Foundation and she’s been serving in the new position since December 27th.

Lowell helped to launch the AAF’s Panhandle Gives Campaign in 2017 and raised more than 5 million dollars in the 2021 campaign. The fundraising experience,as well as previous experience with the campaign, were key factors in making her the new executive director.

Turn Center officials say Amy has experience growing with organizations and programs, and when you add in her compassion for children, she was the ideal candidate for Turn Center Executive Director.
