(San Antonio, TX) — The Villanova Wildcats are the champions of men’s college basketball after beating Michigan 79-62 in yesterday’s title game in San Antonio. Villanova secured its second national title in three seasons and its third overall. Donte DiVincenzo poured in a game-high 31 points for the top-seeded Wildcats, who finish their season 36-and-4. Mikal Bridges added 19 points in the win. Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman had 23 points to pace the Wolverines, who were just 3-of-23 from behind the arc. Mo Wagner added 16 points for U-of-M, which finished 33-and-8.
Rangers Lose To A’s
(Oakland, CA) — Joey Gallo singled in the lone run for the Rangers in a 3-1 loss to the A’s in Oakland. Bartolo Colon allowed just one run over six innings before Kevin Jepsen gave up a two-run double in the seventh to take the loss. Texas is 1-and-4.

Marwin Gonzalez homered and Derek Fisher drove in a pair of runs for the ‘Stros. George Springer, Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman each plated a run apiece. Charlie Morton struck out six over six frames of three-hit ball to pick up the win as Houston improved to 4-and-1.
