Rangers Select Two Players On First Day Of MLB Draft

(Secaucus, NJ) — The first day of the MLB Draft is complete. The Rangers selected two high school pitchers. They took righties Cole Winn out of Orange Lutheran High School In California and Owen White from Jesse Carson High School in North Carolina with the 15th and 55th picks. The 40-round draft continues today and tomorrow.

Trump Says Eagles Will No Longer Attend White House Ceremony

(Washington, DC) — President Trump is pulling the welcome mat from under the Philadelphia Eagles. Trump said in a statement that the full team is unable to come to the White House today as planned because they disagree with his belief in standing for the National Anthem. Trump said the Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation to the White House, but said their fans who planned to attend “deserve better.” Those fans are still invited for a celebration that will honor the country and pay tribute to those who fight to protect it.

49ers Great Clark Dies At 61

(San Francisco, CA) — The 49ers are mourning the loss of one of their all-time greats, Dwight Clark. His wife Kelly posted on Clark’s Twitter account that he died at the age of 61 after a battle with ALS. Clark is best known for “The Catch,” when he made a leaping touchdown grab to win the NFC Championship Game against Dallas in 1982. He won two Super Bowl titles with the Niners over his nine-year career.
