(Amarillo,TX) – Amarillo Professional Baseball is holding a press conference to unveil the team name and logo this afternoon at 1pm in the Downtown Embassy Suites Hotel located at 550 S. Buchanan. The reveal will also be broadcast on the the team’s Facebook page.

Giants Rally To Drop 49ers On MNF

(Santa Clara, CA) — Eli Manning found Sterling Shepard for the go-ahead touchdown with 53 seconds left as the Giants rallied past the 49ers 27-23 at Levi’s Stadium. Manning threw three TD passes in all as New York ended a five-game slide. Odell Beckham Jr. caught two as Big Blue improved to 2-and-7. Matt Breida had two TD’s for San Francisco, which fell to 2-and-8.

Cowboys Facing Another Road Test

(Frisco, TX) — The Cowboys will return to the practice field tomorrow to begin preparing for a Sunday road game in Atlanta. The Cowboys are coming off a 27-20 victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia. Dallas is 4-and-5, the same record as the Falcons. After the Atlanta contest, the Cowboys will return home for a Thanksgiving showdown with NFC East-leader Washington.

Texans Facing Redskins This Week

(Houston, TX) — After a bye week, the Texans return to action Sunday playing the Redskins in Washington. Houston has won its last six games after starting 0-and-3. The 6-and-3 mark tops the AFC South. Washington leads the NFC East with a 6-and-3 record. The Texans re-signed running back Josh Ferguson to their practice squad. They released wide receiver Malachi Dupre.

Stars Fall To Blue Jackets

(Dallas, TX) — Alexander Radulov scored the only Stars’ goal in a 2-1 loss to the Blue Jackets in Dallas. Miro Heiskanen and Jamie Benn assisted on the goal late in the second period that tied the score at one. Dallas center Devin Shore left in the first period with a lower-body injury and will likely be out seven-to-10 days. The Stars are back on their home ice Friday against Boston.

Mavericks Win First Road Game

(Chicago, IL) — Harrison Barnes scored 23 points to help the Mavericks defeat the Bulls 103-98 in Chicago. Reserve J.J. Barea scored 14 points as the Dallas bench outscored the Bulls’ bench 44-26. DeAndre Jordan pulled down a game-high 16 boards. The Mavs won their first road game in seven outings. Dallas returns home tomorrow night to meet Utah.

Kings End Woes Against Spurs

(Sacramento, CA) — The Kings ended a 14-game losing streak to the Spurs with a 104-99 victory in Sacramento. A 10-0 run late in the fourth quarter broke the tie and put the Kings up for good. Bogdan Bogdanovich scored a team-high 22 points for Sacramento and De’Aaron Fox poured in 19. The Kings had not beaten the Spurs since November 2014. DeMar DeRozan led San Antonio with 23 points. LaMarcus Aldridge added 14 points and 18 rebounds in defeat. The Spurs have lost three-of-four.

Rockets Back On Court Tonight

(Denver, CO) — The Rockets will face the Nuggets tonight in Denver. Houston is 5-and-7 after beating Indiana 115-103 in its previous game. The Rockets will return home Thursday night to face the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

Keuchel Rejects Astros’ Qualifying Offer

(Houston, TX) — Cy Young Award winning left-hander Dallas Keuchel has rejected the Astros’ one-year qualifying offer of a one-year contract for just less than 18-million dollars. Keuchel becomes a free agent, but the Astros will receive a compensation draft pick if he signs with another club. The 30-year-old was 12-11 in 34 starts last season and is seeking a multi-year deal. He has won four Gold Glove Awards. Charlie Morton, another Houston starter, is also a free agent.

(Undated) — In area college basketball last night, Baylor beat Prairie View A&M 91-80 in Waco and Texas topped Louisiana Monroe 65-55 in Austin. Tonight, Texas Tech will host SE Louisiana. Tomorrow, the SMU Mustangs return to the court to host Western Carolina and the 4-and-0 Mean Green will host Texas A&M Commerce in Denton. On Thursday, TCU will play Fresno State and Texas A&M will play at ranked Gonzaga in Spokane.
