Rockets Outlast Warriors, Tie Series

(Houston, TX) — The Warriors missed a pair of potential game-tying three-pointers in the final seconds as the Rockets held on for a 112-108 win in their second-round series from Houston. James Harden piled up 38 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets as they tied up the series at two wins apiece. Eric Gordon added 20 points and P.J. Tucker scored 17 as Houston held off a late surge from Golden State. Game Five tips off in Oakland on Wednesday.

Stars Battle Blues Tonight In Game Seven

(St. Louis, MO) — The Stars battle the Blues tonight in Game Seven of their West semifinal series in St. Louis. The Blues evened up the series at three games apiece with Sunday’s 4-1 win in Dallas. The winner advances to face either San Jose or Colorado in the Western Conference finals.

Astros Clip Royals

(Houston, TX) — Robinson Chirinos nailed the go-ahead two-run homer in the sixth inning as the Astros clipped the Royals 6-4 in Houston. George Springer and Carlos Correa also went deep and Gerrit Cole pitched into the seventh to pick up the win. The Astros improved to 21-and-14 overall and 11-and-3 at Minute Maid Park.

Rangers Open Series In Pittsburgh Tonight

(Pittsburgh, PA) — The Rangers open up a nine-game road trip tonight with the first of two against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Texas will also visit Houston and Kansas City on the trek. The Rangers won two-of-three against the Blue Jays over the weekend to even their record at 16-and-16. Adrian Sampson will get the start opposite Bucs lefty Steven Brault.

Sod Poodles Monday Night Contest Postponed, Doubleheader Scheduled For Tuesday

Monday evening’s game between the Sod Poodles and The Arkansas Travelers was postponed due to heavy rain and high winds. The game will be rescheduled as part of a doubleheader tonight. Game one will begin at 5:00 p.m. and game two will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one and will be played as two, seven-inning contests. Gates at HODGETOWN will open at 4:30 p.m. All tickets for Monday’s postponed game are considered rain checks and are good for any remaining 2019 regular season game excluding July 4. To exchange tickets, fans will need to present them in-person at the HODGETOWN box office.

Truex Wins At Dover

(Dover, DE) — Martin Truex Jr. is celebrating a rare Monday victory after winning at Dover. Truex earned his second win in the last three races, including his third career victory at the Monster Mile. Alex Bowman finished second for the second straight week, with Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott rounding out the top-five. The race was postponed from Sunday due to rain.

Maximum Security Kentucky Derby Appeal Is Denied

(Lexington, KY) — The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission is denying an appeal from the owner of race horse Maximum Security after Saturday’s controversial Kentucky Derby finish. Maximum Security was disqualified for a lane violation, leading to Country House being declared the winner. The commission says the steward’s decision isn’t subject to appeal under Kentucky law.

Cowboys Rookie Minicamp Begins Friday

(Frisco, TX) — The Cowboys will begin their rookie minicamp on Friday. Draft picks, undrafted free agents and tryout players will take part in the three-day camp. OTA’s get going May 21st.

Texans Continue Voluntary Workouts

(Houston, TX) — Voluntary workouts for the Houston Texans are ongoing. Players are partaking in on-field workouts, but no 11-on-11 work or live contact is permitted. The Texans will hold a mandatory three-day minicamp starting on June 11th.

Tiger Woods Awarded Presidential Medal Of Freedom

(Washington, DC) — Tiger Woods is the newest recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He was awarded the medal in a ceremony at the White House. President Trump called Woods one of the “greatest athletes in the history of sports.” Trump also honored the Army football team following an 11-win season, the most in its history. Army beat both rivals in Navy and Air Force.
