TTU Celebrates Graduating Nurses

December 17th was a big day for Texas Tech, with over 460 nursing students graduating from their nursing program.

Additionally, this year was the first to see graduates from the Mansfield Sattelite, which follows the same Curriculum as the TTU School of Nursing.

This cohort was established to assist in nursing needs in the region, and of those 19 graduates, 13 will be staying within the DFW area.

The US Department of Health and Human Services estimates a nursing shortage of over 16,000 by 2030.

The Mansfield Extension traces students in a large area of need, and can almost guarantee a student’s first nursing job right after graduation.
