Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Bust

The Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office took methamphetamine off the street this weekend. 

During a stop on Saturday at 11:02 pm, police found four grams of heroin and 21 pounds of meth.

Two people were arrested afterward and sent to Wheeler County Jail on charges of manufacturing and possessing a controlled substance.

One of the women was additionally charged with a prohibited substance or item in a correctional facility. 

The confiscated meth was worth about $950,000 on the street.
