It was Texas’ third error of the game. Robinson Chirinos got ejected for starting a fight that caused the benches to clear. Jesse Chavez was tagged with the loss. The Rangers get today off and open a weekend series tomorrow at Globe Life Park with the Colorado Rockies.

(Oakland, CA) — Evan Gattis homered twice as the Astros crushed the A’s 13-5 in Oakland. The Astros led 10-0 after two innings. Carlos Correa laced a two-run triple, while Marwin Gonzalez and Jake Marisnick left the yard. Gerrit Cole earned his eighth win for Houston. The ‘Stros go for the series sweep today.

(Houston, TX) — The Texans wrap up mandatory minicamp today. Deshaun Watson took the field yesterday and looked good in his return from a season-ending knee injury suffered last fall. He practice without a knee brace. Head coach Bill O’ Brien says the team won’t hit the field today, and will end minicamp with meetings. Training camp opens late next month.

(Southampton, NY) — The second major of the golf season has arrived. First-round play begins this morning at the U.S. Open. This year’s tournament is being played at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York. Brooks Koepka is the defending champ. Tiger Woods is part of the field.

Free Arby’s If “Beefy” Johnston Wins U.S. Open

(Undated) — A self-described “Beefy” golfer just might earn you a free sandwich on July 4th. Arby’s says if England’s Andrew “Beef” Johnston wins the U.S. Open this weekend, they will payoff with a free Bacon Beef ‘n Cheddar sandwich on Independence Day. Johnston was a fan favorite during the 2016 Open when he said he would be drunk for a week if he won the tournament. He finished tied for 54th that year. Johnston made the tournament field this year by winning a qualifiing round in England.

USA Basketball Legend Donovan Dies At 56

(Undated) — The basketball world is mourning the loss of Hall of Famer Anne Donovan. The legendary player and coach passed away Wednesday from heart failure at age 56. Donovan played collegiately at Old Dominion before winning Olympic gold twice for the U.S. as a player and once as a head coach. She also coached the WNBA’s Seattle Storm to their first league championship in 2004.
