Rangers’ Offense Foiled By Dodgers

(Arlington, TX) — Mike Minor gave the Rangers a quality start, but took a 3-1 loss to the Dodgers in Arlington. Minor held Los Angeles to two hits over six innings, but both were solo homers. Adrian Beltre drove in the only Texas run with a ninth-inning double. It was Beltre’s 3,142nd hit, tying him with Robin Yount for 17th on the all-time list.

Rangers Open Series Tomorrow Night Against Twins

(Arlington, TX) — Drew Hutchinson will be the Texas pitching probable tomorrow night at Globe Life Park in the series opener against the Minnesota Twins. The Rangers will attempt to snap a four-game slide after having tonight off.

Rangers Won’t Bring Back Perez

(Arlington, TX) — Outlets have reported the Rangers have told pitcher Martin Perez they will not pick up his 7.5-million-dollar option for 2019. The 27-year-old left-hander is 2-and-6 with a 6.95 ERA in 13 starts this season. Texas has not ruled out trying to re-sign Perez for less money.

Astros Walk-Off A’s In Ninth

(Houston, TX) — Tyler White hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the Astros a 5-4 win over the Athletics in the rubber match of a three-game series at Minute Maid Park. Roberto Osuna picked up the win in relief. George Springer and Alex Bregman each had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for the ‘Stros.
