Astros Lose To Rockies On Walkoff Homer

(Denver, CO) — Collin McHugh served up a walkoff home run to Charlie Blackmon in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Astros lost to the Rockies 3-2 in Denver. McHugh fell to 5-and-1. Jose Altuve doubled in a run and scored the other before leaving in the fifth inning with right knee discomfort. The teams split the brief two-game series.

Cowboys’ Jones Addresses Anthem, Trump, Papa John’s

(Oxnard, CA) — Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is not bending regarding the national anthem policy. Jones made it clear on Wednesday that all of his players must stand for the national anthem, and they’re not allowed to stay in the locker room. Jones addressed the recent comments by President Trump, and stated the President’s position on the anthem isn’t helping them find a solution. Jones also stated the Cowboys will continue their business partnership with Papa John’s Pizza.

UT Fans Alarmed Over Apparent Change To Burnt Orange Color Scheme

(Austin, TX) — A number of UT fans are grumbling about what looks like a change in the team’s burnt orange uniforms. Images from the Longhorns’ annual photo shoot last week appear to show uniforms that are a brighter orange than the shade the team has been wearing since 1925. Some disgruntled fans and alums have taken to social media with a hashtag called Make Burnt Orange Great Again. A school athletic official says relax – the uniforms in the photos posted to Twitter only look like they’re a brighter shade of orange because of a camera filter.

Triple Crown Winner Justify Retiring

(Undated) — Justify is retiring from horse racing. In a statement, trainer Bob Baffert said Justify had some filling in his ankle and wasn’t responding fast enough to compete later this fall. Justify won the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and the Belmont to win the Triple Crown this year.
