Thompson Park Pool Opening Delayed Due To Supply Shortage

The opening of the new Thompson Park pool is being pushed back once more.
Michael Kashuba with the City of Amarillo said during the Amarillo City Council Meeting that they are just over 40 days behind schedule due to recent rain the area has had.
Wylie Hicks, whose company Wylie Hicks Construction is overseeing the project, told the City Council they are having issues getting supplies like plaster, cement, spray foam insulation and more due to stock shortages.
Right now, the pool is scheduled to open July 23rd.
