The Pergola Shop Receives $20,000 Façade Grant From Center City
A local business in Downtown Amarillo is the recipient of a Center City of Amarillo Facade Grant for interior improvements.
The Pergola Shop at 710 Southeast 10th Avenue received the $20,000 grant and was also nominated by Center City for the 2021 President’s Award Program finalist.
Center City administers the downtown Façade Grant program for the City of Amarillo with a volunteer Design Review Committee chaired by Zac Rose who reviews the Grant applications and decides which projects will receive the funds.

The building was originally Harris Food Store back in the 1930s and later turned into a storage facility for furniture.

Winners for the President’s Award Program will be announced on November 4th.
Center City is a member of the Texas Downtown Association with previous award winners in downtown have included Hodgetown for Best New Construction, Hodgetown for Best Economic Game Changer, the historic Potter County Courthouse for Best Historic Renovation and The Courtyard by Marriott at the Historic Fisk for Best Adaptive Reuse.
