The National Pharmaceutical Take Back Initiative Saturday, October 24th

The National Pharmaceutical take back Initiative takes place on Saturday, October 24th from 10:00 a.m.to 2;00 pm.

The Potter County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the initiative.

They’re saying that one of the most abused drugs are prescription and over the counters because young children to get a hold of and try them.

Potter County Sheriff’s officials say if you have any unused, expired, over the counters or prescription medications you need to get rid of bring them to the Santa Fe building at 9th and South Polk Street using the main entrance.

This is a new location for convenience of Amarillo citizens.

They are asking that nothing with needles be brought in or any kind of aerosols or inhalers be brought in for disposal.

The Sheriffs Office always has a drug disposal box located at the Detention Center at 13100 Northeast 29th Street and is available 24 /7.
