Texas Workforce Commission Awarding Grant to Frank Phillips College

Frank Phillips College will be receiving a large grant from the Texas Workforce Commission at an upcoming event.

The TWC will be awarding a $330,125 Jobs and Education for Texas Grant to support career training at the school.

The funding will be used for the purchase and installation of industrial maintenance training equipment for the Pump and Engine/Industrial Maintenance Certificate program.

The new tools will initially be used to train 126 students, and will better prepare individuals in the future with hands-on learning.

TWC Chairman and Commissioner Representing the Public Bryan Daniel will present the check May 26th at 1pm in the Frank Phillips College CAI Building.
