Texas Wheat Producers Left Out of CFAP

Steelee Fischbacher of Texas Wheat Producers has an update on crop condition and harvest in the State, but she also brings news of the latest USDA program to assist producers during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) opened last week for application. However, the program requires a trigger of 5%, which hard red winter wheat and soft red winter wheat did not meet. With that, Texas Wheat Producers and other National Organizations are sending a letter to USDA asking they look at ways to include wheat producers in the assistance program.
